SHIP REPAIR & DRY DOCKING
Efficient – Predictable – Cost effective
Zervoudakis undertakes the most challenging ship repair work – dry docking with reliability and competitive prices. We partner with large, well-established and modern shipyards, which are well capitalized and managed, and are located in strategic positions worldwide.
Dry-docking is one of the most important activity in a vessel’s lifecycle. Besides repairs, as per SOLAS requirements, all Merchant vessels require a complete survey of the hull in a dry dock twice within a 5-year period and an intermediate survey within 36 months at the earliest.
This includes maintenance of the hull, propeller, rudder, etc. and other parts which are immersed in water and are generally inaccessible by staff when the ship is sailing
For a passenger vessel the bottom is to be inspected annually. Two such inspections in a period of five years must be carried out in dry dock, and the maximum interval between these inspections should be three years.
We provide specialized mechanical/electrical engineering services, covering all major grounding repairs, collision repairs, conversions, and major mechanical works. We offer an integrated ship repair and care service by coordinating repairs with world-famous shipyard facilities to suit the ships trading patterns, thereby avoiding costly delays to the ships tight schedule.

THE ONLY RIKEN KEIKI SERVICE LAB
Zervoudakis’ Full Service Calibration Laboratory covers primary and secondary instrumentation, maintaining high accuracy master equipment traceable to International Standards in an environmentally controlled lab, qualified and experienced personnel, well defined work procedure to calibrate customer instruments for compliance with International standards or manufactures specification.
Our team encompasses Chemical Engineers specializing in Marine and Industry, thus giving our customers better and more scientific solutions In recognition of our technical and professional competency. the lab was accredited ISO9001, MAG-610.
- Gas Detection & Alarm Devices: The only RIKEN KEIKI Gas Detectors technical support, Calibration and Certification Lab. Zervoudakis is the only authorized service station of RIKEN KEIKI Japan and RKI Instruments USA in Greece, providing inspection, calibration, repair, monitoring and certification of their instruments in our scientific workshop. As our safety department has a Marine chemist in the team, we also do calibration and repairs of other brand instruments and provide certificates (RIKEN KEIKI MAINTENANCE AUTHORIZATION GUIDELINE MAG-610).

For our repairs we use only original MMC spare parts.
Authorized MMC – MMC Gauging Units technical support providinginspection, calibration, repair and certification in our MMC workshop. Our firms is an official representative of MMC Europe.
ONBOARD CALIBRATION (OBC)
A considerable expense for all shipowners is to off-load instruments such as gas detectors and UTI tapes regularly, in order to be calibrated. Zervoudakis is offering an alternative. As the official Representative of Riken Keiki and MMC in Greece and Cyprus, Zervoudakis is offering the option of remote calibration.
RIKEN KEIKI
In gas detection, depending on the instruments you have onboard, Zervoudakis provides a detailed manual to follow, in compliance with the Manufacturer’s guidelines. The data can be downloaded and sent to us for evaluation. Step by step instructions, easy to use, saves you time and money.

Our MMC tapes also come with an instruction manual to help you perform maintenance and service on board (without annual shore certification).
